Our Historic Cafe | Historic Cafe Route in Europe

Since March 2023, Schlosscafé Brukenthal and the restaurant in the baroque complex in Avrig have been part of the renowned European network of historic cafés. The Route of Historic Cafés is one of the Council of Europe’s 48 cultural routes and was officially certified in June 2022.

The baroque-style café can be visited and “experienced” at Brukenthal Castle. Various events are organised here on a regular basis. Guests can also enjoy their coffee (and more) in the charming guest garden in the nice season, while in winter they will feel relaxed and comfortable in the café’s interior.
